I always like your article but allow me to correct you that Amish does speak English. I visited Lancaster, PA and talk with them in English. Also, they have egg and breakfast booth in Reading Terminal Market in the downtown of Philadelphia and those Amish speaks English as well.
by the way, i dont think that bastard serial killer is capable of speaking German but using English to communicate with those hostage instead.
